De Heem (1606-1683/1684) was one of the most gifted 17th-century Dutch still-life artists. Note his realistic depiction of tulip petals; reeds of wheat; minute animals including butterflies, ants, snails, and caterpillars; and reflections on the transparent glass vase.

LUIGI MARCON E LE SUE INCISIONI : A Molfetta presso il Fashion District

Luigi Marcon è nato ai Piai di Tarzo (TV) 1938. Apprende l’arte d’incidere a Venezia, prima all’Istituto Statale d’Arte, e in seguito presso il Centro Internazionale della Grafica. Dal 1960 partecipa a molte rassegne di grafica nazionali ed internazionali conseguendo vari riconoscimenti; allestisce numerose personali in Italia e all’estero.  Da molti anni si dedica pure all’insegnamento della calcografia mediante corsi teorico-pratici in varie città del Veneto. Opera ed espone in permanenza a Vittorio Veneto, Saletta della Grafica e laboratorio d'incisione in Via Manin, 39. Sono spesso ospiti della galleria noti artisti incisori atti a proporre tecniche ed espressioni diverse. Nella sua principale attività di incisore, oltre che pittore, ha realizzato con le tecniche calcografiche oltre 3000 matrici. Ne esegue personalmente la stampa con torchio a stella, normalmente in venti esemplari e ne biffa la matrice a tiratura ultimata. Fino all'8 maggio 2009 l'artista Luigi Marco

Il Quadro con cerchio di Kandinskij

Si intitola " Quadro con cerchio ", ed è il primo dipinto astratto di Vasilij Vasil'evič Kandinskij , fu realizzato nel 1911 e ritrovato solo nel 1989. Proveniente dal museo nazionale georgiano di Tbilisi, viene per la prima volta esposto in Italia nell'ambito della mostra " Kandinskji, cavaliere errante.In viaggio verso l'astrazione ." , al Mudec di Milano (fino al 9 luglio). Un quadro al quale lo stesso artista attribuiva importanza, come risulta da una sua lettera del 1935: "Quando ho lasciato Mosca, alcuni miei dipinti, in parte di grande formato, sono rimasti in custodia nel museo di Arte Europea Occidentale. Tra essi il mio primissimo quardo astratto del 1911...Purtroppo, non ne possiedo alcuna foto. All'epoca ero scontento del dipinto e pertanto non l'ho neppure numerato e non ho scritto alcuna indicazione sul retro, come faccio sempre, e non l'ho riportato nel mio catalogo personale" . MUDEC

ISABELLA d'ARAGONA, duchessa di Bari, è MONNA LISA.

Il beffardo sorriso della Monna Lisa, del poliedrico Leonardo da Vinci, colpisce ancora: non è Lisa Gherardini la donna raffigurata nel ritratto più famoso del mondo ma Isabella d'Aragona , duchessa di Bari. A dirla tutta, non è una notizia proprio inedita, nel senso che non è la prima volta che questa tesi ci viene proposto: un anno fa Maike Vogt-Luerssen (che non è certo una sprovveduta) la sostenne, con confronti e documenti minuziosissimi. Ma non ebbe molto successo e Monna Lisa continuò a rimanere lì..... con quel suo sorriso-non-sorriso che tanto fa impazzire studiosi e ammiratori d'ogni tempo e luogo. Questa volta, però, la tesi ci viene riproposta da una studiosa barese, Titty Pignatelli Palladino, che nei giorni scorsi l'ha presentata a New York. La nota prof. Pignatelli Palladino è partita, nel suo studio, dalla visione di un documento inedito -conservato presso la New York Public Library- contenente la stampa del volto di Isabella d'Aragona.
